There is no greater love than motherhood, which drives one mother to start a foundation from zero. Since Margaret’s first daughter Isabella was diagnosed with a rare syndrome, she demonstrated an unwavering dedication to providing the best possible care and support. She also found that more families, like hers, were helpless in facing the challenges of the rare diseases, lack of the mainstream healthcare system, resources, and social support.
The Beyond Foundation was founded as a bridge to provide long-term support for children with special needs and their families, building connections between patients and families, families and society. Through sharing stories and experiences, these families are no longer helpless and confused. By increasing the public awareness of these children’s unique beauty and strength through disabilities, society will be filled with more love and inclusion. By empowering these children with special needs, making them independent, self-confident, and having autonomy in finding their way of life in the future.
