From Empathy to Gratitude

From Empathy to Gratitude is theme for Hong Kong Momtrepreneurs in 2021/22 to demonstrate that empathy and gratitude as traits commonly found in mothers can be the quality making mothers better leaders not only at home but also at workplaces and the community.

“Do mothers make better leaders?”

As mothers and entrepreneurs, we are taking leadership roles in both our households and our businesses; our competency has been put to the challenge and it is proven. “The pandemic has really highlighted the power of female leadership,” says Chris Sandreson, co-founder of The Future Laboratory. “It’s been a hard, unsettling reset for the whole word, but there’s an unprecedented opportunity for the entire population to come together, transform systemic issues and rive equity forward.

In May 2021, we were pleased to collaborate as strategic partner of Stand by Moms, Always by JCI Hong Kong Jayceettees’ flagship Care & Dare 2021. This strategic alliance could allow us to support each other to enrich our efforts in women empowerment and support to mothers.

The project focused to address issues related to working mothers by:

  • Retaining these talents in the workforce
  • Reenergize mothers from high stress level
  • Rediscover mother’s passion on personal development

Series of event were held from April to July in 2021.

We noted that working mothers have been facing enormous pressure stemming from “double shift” since Covid-19. They scaled back or even sacrifice their career. Through raising public awareness, we hope the society can create a caring, loving and supportive environment to our mothers.

Through 3 days program we could help mothers to realize a mental and physical retreat through our fruitful programs. The programs are set as the following three direction:

• Retain mothers’ participation at work
• Reenergize mothers from high stress level
• Rediscover mother’s passion on personal development
