Ms. Lai Key Har’s sharing was like a refreshing breeze that dispelled lingering clouds of misconception. The three profound questions she posed resonated deeply: Who defined the meaning of “to be a woman”? From where did our confidence truly emanate? And amidst the daily whirlwind of tending to family, work, and children—a reality pieced together from countless fragments—when did we truly remember ourselves last time?
With grace and insight, she gently highlighted that the concept of “mindfulness,” which had gained significant traction in Western countries in recent years, represents far more than a [pause] . It is a profound practice of turning inward with compassionate awareness—a vital act of self-care that allows individuals, especially those caught in cycles of constant giving, to reconnect with the part of themselves most in need of being seen and heard. This was not an act of selfishness, but rather the essential source from which genuine love and care could sustainably flow.
We extend our gratitude to Lai Key for this poignant reminder: our identity is never to be defined by external voices, true confidence must spring from the inside, and each conscious, breath-centered pause is, in itself, a most tender and steadfast affirmation of one’s own life and worth.
Second part, it is our pleasure to meet our Moms4Moms Alumna Tamara Chan in the classroom, under thirty years old, who shared her entrepreneurial journey from an online store to founding her own business, which was truly filled with admiration and inspiration. Beyond her remarkable drive and action, what I deeply respect is her wisdom in her time management. Actually, the cost of rent in Hong Kong is not easy for a start -up entrepreneur to easily afford. The lessons she had learned along the way that are immensely valuable for all of us to learn from.
Her story vividly illustrates that success is never just a slogan. It is achieved through persistence, passion, and a positive mindset—continuously striving for family or personal dreams. It cannot rely on willpower alone but requires enduring countless nights of setback and anxiety, undergoing significant adjustments, and meticulous long-term planning to bring about sustainable growth for a brand.
From Tamara’s sharing , dedicatedly offering her precious time to share her experiences with us is exceptionally rare and valuable. We highly appreciate her mind is always target-oriented. She will stay brave for many uncertainties in the near future.
